American horror miniseries (2026), created by Haley Z. Boston for Netflix, executive produced by the Duffer Brothers — 8 episodes, watched in 2 days.
Plot Summary (Spoilers)
- Psychology grad student Rachel and her fiancé Nicky arrive at his family's remote home for their wedding week.
- Cold open ("Never Get On One Knee") promises a blood-soaked hallway — and that the title will deliver.
- Rachel's new family acts strange and keeps dropping bad omens, led by a story about "the Sorry Man".
- Episodes 2–3 tease that the family themselves are the threat — a deliberate misdirection.
- Episode 4 jumps to the past and reveals a curse at the center of the story: if your partner isn't your soulmate, something very bad happens.
- The finale is a bloody bloodbath that kills almost the entire family.
- Rachel survives, becoming the curse's new face — doomed to warn the descendants who come after her.
My Thoughts (Spoilers)
- We enjoyed it and finished all 8 episodes within 2 days because I kept wanting to know what would happen next.
- The good parts are the story and the atmosphere — we couldn't guess most of the plot.
- The ending wasn't cliché and really paid off. No obvious bad parts for me.
- Camila Morrone was really good — gorgeous face, good acting.
- The first 2–3 episodes toy with you, making you think the family will kill Rachel — and they actually don't.
- The lighting was too dark, though.
